Looking at the heart – and other parts of the body – is exactly what McMaster Engineering’s Professor Mike Noseworthy is all about. As a medical imaging expert, he specializes in assessing normal and diseased tissue microstructure using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
With Valentine’s Day tomorrow, Matt Terry of the Daily News asked Dr. Noseworthy to share an image of what the human heart really looks like – but he went a step further, and sent an MRI video of his own, beating heart.
That’s Dr. Noseworthy’s heart beating above. (He’s one of the coolest people I know.)
Happy Valentine’s Day!
